This property is located in the beautiful Umalas area of Seminyak. Being inland it is only 10 minutes to Seminyak beach. Just a quick drive from the major tourist centers of Kuta and Seminyak, and 25 minutes from the airport, this Villa sits in perfect rural seclusion. Surrounded by hushed paddy fields, where the scent of frangipani trees permeates the air, a more relaxing spot is hard to imagine.
With its luxurious reinterpretation of local Balinese architecture, mix of traditional and modern artifacts and serene location, this villa provides the perfect backdrop for rest and recuperation. The Villa is comprised of two elongated alang-alang (thatched) roofed structures linked by pale stepping-stones perched atop a large pond stocked with tropical fish.
Two of the four air-conditioned bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are housed in each building. All the king sized bedrooms boast large glass-doors permitting the free circulation of air, whilst the main living spaces are naturally ventilated open structures.
The soft green decor of the master bedroom provides a cool refreshing ambiance to enable restful slumber even in the midday heat. Located next to the thatched porch entrance, it can also be accessed from the dining room. The bed is set in a broad elevated platform and has an elegant mosquito canopy. Graceful wisps of white crepe material drape down above the walk-in wardrobe, complimenting the high ceiling and creating an elegant entryway to an al fresco ensuite bathroom.
The central structure of the compound is the building encompassing the living area. In the center of this structure, the extensive living room is furnished with four large daybeds prominently sunken to a lower level in the blond terrazzo flooring. Elegantly garnished with numerous soft cushioning and ceramics from Bali's neighboring island of Lombok, the room is an ideal spot for leisurely pastimes.
The formal dining area with seating for eight is located in a raised area at the north end of the room. A small corridor leads away from the eating area to a large western style fully equipped kitchen. The southern end of the lounge, houses a large Jacuzzi room.
At the southern end of the lounge, the lower level of the multi-storied structure houses a large Jacuzzi room and ensuite bathroom for the fourth bedroom upstairs. An outdoor staircase leads up to the bedroom, where the mosquito-canopied bed overlooks the idyllic rice terraces. French doors open out onto a cushioned pavilion above the four-poster daybed below. The bedroom also features a loft and satellite TV.
The second building of the Villa has an outdoor seating area sandwiched between the second bedroom and the third bedroom suite. The principle feature of the second bedroom is the tasteful queen-sized bed complete with its own mosquito canopy. The bed looks through sliding glass doors onto a small seating terrace and down the compound to the large lounge area. As with all the bedrooms in the villa, the room has its own bathroom.
In the third bedroom, the bed is situated in a wooden loft above a study area, complete with a writing desk and cushioned bench. To the left of the room is a large walk-in wardrobe with access to the rear garden. Balinese attention to aesthetic detail is apparent in the ensuite bathroom with beautifully crafted towel racks and wooden panels.
Wide cream steps lead down from the living room to the pool and patio area. The garden contains an outdoor bale (covered seating area), the perfect spot for welcome shade, and sun lounges and parasols. Surrounded by landscaped garden of tropical flowers, the Villa offers an ingenious combination of original and traditional architecture and interior design, to provide the ultimate in stylish comfort. Truly heaven!
